JEE Main Photo Size & Free Resizer
The JEE (Main) 2026 bulletin asks for a recent passport-size colour photo as a JPG/JPEG between 10 KB and 200 KB, with 80% of the face visible (no mask, ears showing) against a white background.
JPG, PNG or WebP · you can also paste (Ctrl+V)
NTA gives no pixel size, so this tool outputs 350 x 450 pixels inside the 10 to 200 KB range. You also capture a live photo in the form: use a light-coloured background and good lighting, and if your computer has no webcam, scan the QR code with a phone or tablet.
At the exam centre you need one passport-size print identical to the uploaded photo, for the attendance sheet, so keep a few copies of the same picture.

How to make your JEE Main Photo in 4 steps
- Take a clear photo facing the camera, with even light and no shadows, against a background that meets the requirement (white).
- Open this page on your phone or computer and pick the photo.
- The tool centres your face automatically. Tap "Make background white" if needed, adjust with Zoom and Move, and check that every line shows ✅.
- Tap Download and upload the JPG file to your application.
Common reasons this photo is rejected
- A black and white photo. JEE Main asks for colour.
- Face too small or ears hidden by hair. NTA wants 80% face visibility.
- A mask, or a background that is not white.
- Uploading someone else's photo, which NTA treats as unfair means.
- Expecting to fix it later. The bulletin says correction will not be allowed afterwards.
