ID Card Photo Sizes
Photo requirements for national ID cards, residence cards and other official documents.
ID card and residence document photos often use a different size from the same country's passport: the Canada PR card uses 50 x 70 mm, Japan's My Number card uses 35 x 45 mm with its own file limits, and the PAN card asks for a smaller 2.5 x 3.5 cm photo plus a signature.
Common rejection reasons: using the passport size instead of the card size, a file over the portal's KB limit, a busy background, and a blurry or poorly lit face.
