Resize Image to 30 KB: Free Online Compressor

30 KB is a common cap for exam signatures and some state exam photos. On this site the CTET signature (3 to 30 KB), the UPPSC and APPSC signatures (under 30 KB) and the Kerala PSC photo (under 30 KB, 150 x 200 pixels) all stop at 30 KB. This page starts the compressor at 30 KB.

The tool saves a JPG at high quality first and lowers the quality only as far as needed, keeping the highest quality that still fits. It shrinks the pixel size only if even the lowest quality is over 30 KB. Images wider than 1600 pixels are scaled down to 1600 first.

Some forms use 30 KB the other way round, as a minimum: the RRB NTPC signature must be 30 to 49 KB and the India Post GDS photo 30 to 100 KB. Do not use this page for them. Their own pages keep the file above 30 KB, adding empty JPEG comment data when the image is too small, without changing the pixels.

How to compress an image to 30 KB

  1. Target file size is already set to 30 KB. Change it if your form gives a different limit.
  2. Pick the photo or scanned document.
  3. Check that the file size line shows โœ…, then tap Download.

If the form also gives a pixel size, use its own page instead so the shape is right too, for example the SSC photo or IBPS signature tools, or browse all exam photo and signature sizes.
